- Soldier Anatoliy Abrosimov was killed on January 10, 2024, in the area of the village of Ivanivske in the Donetsk region. When he went out to his position, he received fatal injuries during enemy artillery shelling. The defender was 42 years old. Anatoliy was born in Kharkiv. At the age of 16, he moved to the city of Lyubotyn, where he lived the rest of his life. He received a secondary education and then went to work. He changed many professions: he was a loader, a welder, worked for 13 years at the "Polimer" factory, and later got a job at "Nova Poshta". "He was very satisfied, did not regret changing jobs and leaving the factory. The employees liked him, the management treated even the loaders with respect. He was even interested from the front how things were at work. He was friends with the guys. He thought about returning to 'Nova Poshta' after the war." When the Russians hit the terminal in the Kharkiv region with missiles and many colleagues was killed, he told his wife Kateryna to transfer 5,000 hryvnias in aid to the families. Tolya was very sensitive," says Kateryna Abrosimova. For Kateryna, Anatoliy became a New Year's gift. The couple met at a New Year's celebration when they were both 19 years old and have not parted since then. "Tolik drew my attention with his dancing. He was probably the most cheerful in the company. We started talking, and I immediately realized that he was my person. On the third day, we already understood that we wanted to get married. I was not mistaken in my husband. He was very reliable, always supported me. In any difficult situation, he would say: 'Katyusho, you are my queen, we will break through!' Cheerful, sociable, had his own charm," the woman recalls. According to his wife, Anatoliy had golden hands and was a skilled master. He was also an excellent father. He spent a lot of time with the children: took them fishing, walked with them in the parks of his beloved Kharkiv. In August 2021, the man decided to change his activity and signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He became a fighter of the 24th separate assault battalion "Aydar". He held the position of machine gunner section commander. He met the full-scale invasion at the positions of the Donetsk region and continued to perform his official duties. During his service, Anatoliy received three honorary awards: the "Golden Cross" badge, the "For Military Service to Ukraine" medal, and the "For Sacrifice and Love for Ukraine" medal. Posthumously, he was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree. "In this war, I lost the most precious thing I had. We were sure he would return. He said: 'Katya, I'm a lucky one.' He wanted to buy his own house when he returned from the war. We were saving for that house, but we collected for the funeral. But I am proud of my husband, he was a true warrior and our protector," Kateryna adds. The hero was buried in his hometown. At home in Anatoliy, his wife, son, and daughter were waiting.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
