- Sergeant Anatoliy Smolinskyi (call sign Prorab) was killed in action on June 20, 2022, as a result of an enemy shell hitting the area of the village of Vovchoyarivka in Luhansk region. In July, the defender would have turned 49 years old. Anatoliy was born in the village of Ivkivtsi, Cherkasy region. After studying at the local school, he went to serve in the National Guard of Ukraine. When he returned, he worked as a firefighter. Later, he moved to Kyiv with two brothers, where they started their own business in the construction industry. The man actually learned everything in practice, hence the call sign - Prorab. He built many houses, did a lot of repairs - both for clients and for relatives. Recently, he lived outside the city, where he had his own garden, which was his biggest hobby. During the season, he treated all relatives and relatives with a harvest and delicious homemade wine. Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, the man had been outside the capital, but immediately left for home to evacuate his family and decided to join the territorial defense. "What to do? We need to go to war, because otherwise it will be shameful. If I don't do something now, how can I look into the eyes later?" - he said to his relatives and went to the military commissariat. Later, he became a driver of the 1st rifle company of the 242nd separate battalion of the 241st separate brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He performed all his duties responsibly and sought the earliest possible victory over the enemy. In one of his last messages to his relatives, he wrote: "Everything will be fine for you, kids. That's why we're here, so we don't let the occupiers go further." "He was a real man and a leader, had a great sense of humor, was the soul of the company anywhere. An optimistic, energetic and witty person," - relatives remembered Anatoliy. "A responsible and respectful employee, took on the most responsible objects and did an excellent job," - added colleagues. The defender was buried at the cemetery of the village of Lisovichi in Kyiv region. Anatoliy is survived by his mother, two brothers, two children, nephews, relatives, friends and comrades. Posthumously, the warrior was awarded the Order "For Courage" of the III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
