Then he mastered the profession of a welder at a vocational school in Ukrainka. He served his mandatory military service. Later, he worked at a thermal power plant for some time, and then got a job at the "Interfom" enterprise. Recently, he was a driver in Kyiv. He loved animals, travel, and outdoor recreation. At first, he was in the security service in Obukhiv, then he moved to the Chernihiv region. He served in the 61st separate battalion, held the position of senior shooter-operator, and squad leader. As part of his unit, he was transferred to the Kupiansk direction. He was remembered by his comrades-in-arms as courageous and brave, as he saved their lives several times. According to his loved ones, the news of the death of his younger brother was a heavy blow to Anatoliy. However, he had a strong character and an acute sense of justice. Therefore, he continued to fight, defend rights and protect - for him these were not just words, but concrete actions and deeds. "He was a good and bright person. He was my support, the best godfather, a real man. He is one of the two pairs of godparents who remained by my side. They with their wife always supported me, always worried about me. He will be forever in my heart, I will love you eternally, my dearest," wrote Anastasia Matviienko. Anatoliy was buried in his native village of Tarasivka in the Kyiv region.
