- Soldier Andrii Besedin (call sign Kriger) was killed on February 9, 2023, in battle with the occupiers near the village of Klishchiyivka in the Donetsk region. In January, the warrior turned 24 years old. Andrii was from the Kharkiv region. He lived in the settlement of Troitske. He studied at the Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University, majoring in "Construction and Operation of Roads". He participated in the "Great Construction" project in Ukraine. He was into sports and loved animals. Andrii liked to read and draw. He adored children and dreamed of having a daughter. With the start of the full-scale war, the man voluntarily went to defend his native country from the Russian occupiers. He served in the 5th Separate Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a grenadier. "I didn't know a person who wanted so much to join the military. He said he had no right to just sit back while someone else was giving their life for our future. He always smiled, no matter how difficult it was. He never regretted going into service. He had a pure soul and a big heart, always saying that his family and I took up all the space there. He dropped out of school and a successful job and went to the military enlistment office. He promised that if he returned, he would take me to see a real panda (that was my dream). He said we would immediately have a daughter, so that his girls would be waiting for him at home. I am ready to give my soul and body, just for him to return. He said he had been looking for me all his life, and now I will be the one searching, listening to voices, looking at silhouettes in the hope of meeting him again. He was and is the best and strongest person in my life," said the deceased's beloved Marina. "Andrii was a cheerful person, always in a good mood and with a smile on his lips. He had big plans for the future. He was a true patriot of our country. From the beginning of the full-scale war, without hesitation, he voluntarily enlisted in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Andrii honorably fulfilled his military duty. Until his last breath, he remained faithful to the oath, the Ukrainian people, and Ukraine, defending and protecting the right to our safe life. He gave the most valuable thing - his life! I am proud of him! I am proud of his indomitability and patriotism! Eternal memory to the Hero! You will forever remain in our hearts," added the deceased's aunt Inna. The defender was buried in his native settlement. Andrii is survived by his parents, relatives, girlfriend, friends, comrades-in-arms, and a nephew, whom he had replaced as a father.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
