Andrii O. Vorobiov

Born on August 9, 1980, in the city of Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region. Graduated from general education school No. 11 in Kryvyi Rih and Kryvyi Rih College of Economics and Management (now Kryvyi Rih College of Economics and Management of the State Higher Educational Institution "Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman") with a specialty in "technician-technologist of public catering." Served mandatory military service in the reconnaissance battalion of the 25th Separate Dnipropetrovsk Airborne Brigade of the Airborne Forces of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1126, the urban-type settlement of Hvardiyske, Novomoskovsk district, Dnipropetrovsk region). Since 2007, worked as a manager in the construction and household hypermarket "Epicenter" in Kryvyi Rih. On March 24, 2014, mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Served as a machine gunner in the parachute assault company of the 25th Separate Airborne Brigade of the High Mobility Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (A1126, the urban-type settlement of Hvardiyske, Novomoskovsk district, Dnipropetrovsk region). Since 2014, participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On January 18, 2015, soldier Vorobyov was killed while performing a combat mission in the area of the village of Spartak, Yasynuvata district, Donetsk region. On January 22, 2015, he was buried in the Central Cemetery in Kryvyi Rih.
