- Soldier Andrii Yarchevskyi (call sign Knockout) was killed on November 4, 2023, in Kreminna, Luhansk region. During the shelling from the Grad MLRS, he received a fatal shrapnel wound. Andrii was 24 years old. He was born in Brovary, Kyiv region. He received general secondary education at Lyceum No. 3 there, and then entered the Kyiv College of the Maritime and River Fleet and Transport Technologies of the State University of Infrastructure and Technologies. He received a diploma of a junior specialist in the specialty "Jurisprudence". He studied remotely at the National University of Physical Education and Sports of Ukraine in the field of "Physical Rehabilitation". At the same time, he worked at the IT company "Frinet" in Kyiv as a call center operator. After completing his studies, he held the position of computer systems engineer at Digital Screens LLC. Since childhood, he attended free wrestling sections. Later, he dreamed of becoming a boxer. The man led a healthy lifestyle, trained persistently, attended all possible boxing matches held in Kyiv and his native Brovary. He always went to the fights and press conferences of Ukrainian "Olympians" and world champions. With the start of the full-scale invasion, Andrii was sent to military unit A1890, where he served in 2019-2020. There he gained knowledge in the operation of the Stinger portable air defense missile system. Later, he became an instructor in mortar calculations. The command of the military unit offered Andrii to continue being an instructor, but he submitted documents to the Azov regiment, went through the course of a young fighter, and mastered the mortar. He held the position of gunner in the 12th Special Purpose Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine "Azov". "He was always cheerful and happy. He went to war voluntarily. He never told how scared he was, what he was feeling, he always conveyed everything with a smile on his face. There was one day left before the vacation that we were looking forward to and planning so much... It is unbearable to acknowledge the bitter truth that Andrii is no longer there and that our shared life that we dreamed of will never happen again. I am proud of my guy and have told him about it many times, but unfortunately I will not be able to tell him that again," wrote the deceased's girlfriend Anna Semikina. The defender was buried in cemetery No. 3 in his native Brovary. Andrii is survived by his parents, grandmother, girlfriend, and friends.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
