Andrii V. Vodzianovskyi

Born on June 18, 1983, in the city of Bar, Vinnytsia region. Graduated from a general education school, then from vocational technical school No. 11 in the city of Vinnytsia. In January 2015, he was mobilized as a volunteer to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a sapper in the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1302 (field post V2830), the urban-type settlement of Cherkaskoye, Novomoskovsk district, Dnipropetrovsk region). Since 2015, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On August 24, 2015, the UAZ vehicle, in which soldier Vodyanovsky was returning to his unit with other sapper colleagues after completing a combat mission to clear the area of mines, detonated on an anti-tank mine near the settlement of Nevelskoye in the Yasynuvata district of Donetsk region. As a result of the explosion, Andriy Vodyanovsky sustained serious injuries and died on the spot. On August 27, 2015, he was buried in the cemetery of the city of Bar, Vinnytsia region.
