- Soldier Andriy Zadnipryany (call sign Pryanyk) sustained numerous serious injuries on November 16, 2022 during a hostile mortar attack near the town of Vuhledar in the Donetsk region. Doctors fought for the defender's life for 11 days. However, on November 27, the soldier was killed in a hospital in Kyiv. He was forever 29 years old. Andriy was born and lived his entire life in Kyiv. After school, he graduated from the Open International University of Human Development "Ukraine". He worked as a junior system administrator at the company "Vidi Avtositi". He loved playing computer games, especially car simulators, reading, and could talk endlessly about the automotive industry. He had always dreamed of a dog, and the day he got a German shepherd named Nicki was one of the happiest in his life. He also constantly cared for others more than himself. During the full-scale Russian invasion, Andriy could not remain on the sidelines, so he joined the ranks of the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians. As part of his unit, the man defended his native lands from the occupiers. "Andriy was probably one of those people who just don't know how to be sad. He always smiled and even in the most difficult times found a reason to look at things a little differently - and life didn't seem so gloomy anymore. On February 24, he knew for sure that he would defend our country for as long as necessary, so he joined the Armed Forces from the first day. And during the meetings, which only happened a few times in these months, he was only worried about whether he was doing enough for our victory. And, of course, he constantly reassured his family and friends, as if for him it was just a light walk without any danger. But he himself was in the hot spots that are now remembered with trepidation," say the fallen soldier's friends. The defender was buried at the Southern Cemetery in Kyiv. Andriy is survived by his parents and fiancée.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
