Anton V. Zabrodskyi (Maliuk)

Soldier Anton Zabrodskyi (call sign Baby) was killed on November 16, 2022, while performing a combat mission at a crossing over the Siverskyi Donets River near the city of Sloviansk in the Donetsk region. The defender was 25 years old. Anton was born in Kyiv. He lived with his family in the village of Petropavlivska Borshchahivka near the capital. He obtained a higher education at the National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute." He worked as a chief specialist in the technology department at the Antonov plant. He was passionate about airplanes and cars. With the onset of the full-scale invasion, he joined the capital's Territorial Defense Forces with his father to protect his native land from the occupiers. He served in the 130th Battalion of the 241st Separate Brigade of Territorial Defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He defended Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Donetsk regions. He was awarded a commendation for the liberation of Irpin. "My son had a big, loving heart, in which the love for his homeland and our entire large family burned. And a great professional potential that was not destined to be realized because of the war," said Tetiana Zabrodskа. Anton was buried in the village of his childhood, Yushky, in Kyiv region, as he wished. The defender is survived by his parents, sister, wife, son, other relatives, friends, and comrades.
