- Senior soldier Artem Lavrovskyi was killed on May 3, 2022 in Mariupol, Donetsk region. During the performance of a combat mission at the Azovstal plant, he received injuries incompatible with life. The warrior was forever 21 years old. Artem was born in Kozyatyn, Vinnytsia region. He graduated from school No. 2. He continued his studies at the local interregional higher vocational school of railway transport, specializing in "Computer typist and supply operator". After graduating from the college, he was drafted into military service in the 12th Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine. He took part in combat operations in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. From the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, he stood up to defend Mariupol. "From the beginning of the full-scale war until mid-April, my son called about five times. The last time was on April 18. Artem called: 'Mom, most likely I won't come back. Take care of yourself and my younger brothers. Just don't cry...' When I stopped contacting him, I didn't get any answer on the hotline. And on May 9, they informed me that my son had on May 3. I cry and dream about him. He asks me not to cry. Recently, I've been dreaming of him as a child. My youngest son is starting to look very much like him. Everyone tells me: 'Look, Artem is returning to you through Maksym.' We remember how positive and cheerful he was. From the 9th grade, he became passionate about cars and motorcycles. He dreamed of traveling around Ukraine, having a family and living happily. He planned to get married to his beloved girl after the army," Lilia Honcharova, the mother, said. On May 15, 2022, a joint prayer service was held in the central square of Kozyatyn in memory of the fallen Artem Lavrovskyi. Artem is survived by his mother, three younger brothers, grandmother and aunt.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
