- 28-year-old Lieutenant Bohdan Rudzinsky (call sign Rud) was killed on October 6, 2022 during a reconnaissance mission in the area of Novolubivka village, Luhansk region. Bohdan was born in the village of Ozerianka in the Zhytomyr region. He graduated from the Zhytomyr branch of the University of Modern Knowledge with a degree in "Finance and Credit". He worked at a bank, but understood that he had a talent for a different field of activity. In his free time, he loved to do something with his own hands, for example, he made a garden swing and a box for his mother's birthday. He became a master of finishing works. He also loved to cook, active recreation, mountains, adventures, fantasy and anime. He played sports, ran, played ping-pong, drove a car and a scooter, and also liked to ride a quad bike, scooter, and bicycle. He had a very good attitude towards animals and sheltered two cats: Izi and Hardy. He dreamed of opening his own pub. When the full-scale invasion began, Bohdan could not stay at home, although he only had a military department behind him, and went to the local self-defense. "He could have been very useful in construction, because he had a lot of experience and could make anything out of anything, he could rebuild Bucha, Irpin and other devastated cities and villages of our country, but he chose the path of a brave Warrior," said Bohdan's close friend. When the danger in his native Zhytomyr region passed, Bohdan voluntarily went to the military registration and enlistment office, practically the only one from his village, and went to study in "Desna". Later, he commanded a machine gun platoon in the 66th Separate Mechanized Brigade. He was in battles in the Donetsk region. He was wounded and soon after treatment he returned to his comrades-in-arms. He took part in the liberation of the Luhansk region. In the autumn, Bohdan was promoted to the rank of lieutenant, which he was very happy about and planned to build a military career. "He always bravely went into battle first and could never sit idle. We all, as best we could, searched for him for a long and terrible 28 days and really hoped that he was alive. Bohdan is a person with a very kind heart to everyone, with great gratitude we will remember him!" added his friend. The officer was buried in his native village. Bohdan is survived by his parents and grandfather and grandmother.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
