- Danish serviceman Daniil Bratanich (call sign Kurt) was killed on September 20, 2022, while defending Donetsk region. The fighter was on his last duty before rotation when the enemy launched a tank shelling of the positions of the Ukrainian defenders. A shell hit directly in the trench. The warrior was forever 23 years old. Daniil was born in the village of Kryvachyntsi in the Khmelnytskyi region. He stu at the Viytovetskyi Lyceum. He then graduated from the technical college of the Ternopil Ivan Puluj National Technical University. He worked as a bartender in a restaurant, and later as a manager at a gas station. The young man loved to draw and dreamed of becoming a tattoo master. In 2014, he underwent training in "Azov" and dreamed of serving there. In 2022, this wish came true. With the onset of the full-scale invasion, Daniil initially joined the local territorial defense and then joined the ranks of the "Azov" regiment. "Since 2014, Danya was eager to join the military. My husband passed away, and my son became the only breadwinner in the family. He entered college, stu during the day, and worked in the evening to support us. There he met Kolya, who served in "Azov". He underwent military training with the "Azov" fighters on a voluntary basis, and I only found out about it in February 2022. From the first days of the full-scale war, Danya was eager to join the military again, wanting only to be in "Azov". He initially worked during the day and served in the territorial defense at night. At the beginning of March, he sent us with my daughters to Poland, and at the end of the month, he called and said he was going to Zaporizhzhia. Four months of preparation and training, and then combat... We were only waiting for the cherished "Call me". I never put my phone down. Once we spoke via video call, Danya said, "Mom, I'll be back soon for rotation, I'm going to propose to Nastya." He missed it by just a few damned hours... Dani's father lives in Russia, and he supported his son from the first days. Danya dreamed of becoming a tattoo master. Many of his drawings are on his beloved, comrades, father, and cousin. "My son was proud to serve in 'Azov'. This is a terrible pain... Always with a smile, my Danya, my pride, our pride," said the mother of the fallen. The defender was buried in the village of Viytivtsi in the Khmelnytskyi region. A memorial plaque was installed in honor of Daniil at the Viytovetskyi Lyceum where he stu. At home, the hero was awaited by his grandmother, grandfather, mother Natalia, sisters Nastya and Ulya, and his beloved girl Nastya.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
