- Born on November 30, 1989, in the city of Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk region. In 2007, he graduated from general education school No. 11 in Pavlohrad and enrolled in the Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University, but later left his studies. Since 2008, he worked at PJSC "DTEK Pavlohradvuhillia" branch "Mine Management named after Heroes of Space." From 2008 to 2009, he served in the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine (military unit 3036, Dnipropetrovsk city (now - Dnipro). After service, he returned to his previous job, completed specialized courses, after which he worked as a miner of underground installations in the preparatory work section No. 1 at PJSC "DTEK Pavlohradvuhillia" branch "Mine Management named after Heroes of Space." In March 2014, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 25th Separate Dnipropetrovsk Airborne Brigade of the High Mobility Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1126, the urban-type settlement of Hvardiyiske, Novomoskovsk district, Dnipropetrovsk region). From the summer of 2014, he participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation in eastern Ukraine. On June 14, 2014, around 01:00 AM, the military transport aircraft IL-76 MD of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, while approaching to land at the airport in the city of Luhansk, was shot down by terrorists using a portable anti-aircraft missile system. On board the aircraft were 40 servicemen of the 25th Separate Dnipropetrovsk Airborne Brigade, including senior soldier Kamenev, and 9 crew members. As a result of the crash, all personnel of the airborne unit and the aircraft crew were killed. On July 25, 2014, he was buried in the city cemetery of Pavlohrad. On February 18, 2016, a memorial plaque was unveiled in the city of Pavlohrad on the facade of general education school No. 11 (8 Kiltseva Street), where Denys Kamenev studied.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
