- Born on March 17, 1991, in the city of Dnipropetrovsk (now Dnipro). In 2009, he graduated from general education school No. 118 in Dnipropetrovsk, and in 2010, he graduated from the Dnipropetrovsk Professional Railway Lyceum, obtaining the profession of "Passenger Car Conductor, Ticket Clerk." After graduating from the lyceum, he was employed at the Separate Structural Unit "Dnipropetrovsk Passenger Car Depot" of the State Enterprise "Dniprovsk Railway." From April 20, 2011, to April 17, 2012, he served in the mandatory military service in the material and technical support battalion of the 93rd Separate Guards Mechanized Kharkiv Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1302, the urban-type settlement of Cherkaské, Novomoskovsk district, Dnipropetrovsk region). On March 25, 2014, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 25th Separate Dnipropetrovsk Airborne Brigade of the High Mobility Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1126, the urban-type settlement of Hvardiyské, Novomoskovsk district, Dnipropetrovsk region). Since the spring of 2014, he participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation in eastern Ukraine. On June 14, 2014, around 1:00 AM, a military transport aircraft IL-76 MD of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, while approaching to land at the airport in the city of Luhansk, was shot down by terrorists using a portable anti-aircraft missile system. On board the aircraft were 40 servicemen of the 25th Separate Dnipropetrovsk Airborne Brigade, including soldier Korenchenko, and 9 crew members. As a result of the crash, all personnel of the landing party and the aircraft crew were killed. On July 25, 2014, he was buried in the city cemetery of Dnipropetrovsk (now Dnipro). On October 28, 2014, in the city of Dnipropetrovsk (now Dnipro), a memorial plaque was unveiled in his honor on the memorial to the fallen workers of the Dnipropetrovsk Passenger Car Depot (Sergiy Nigoyan Avenue, 42B), where Oleg Korenchenko worked.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
