- Dmytro Vasylchuk (call sign Frank), a marine, was killed in action on March 7, 2022, in the battle for Mariupol, Donetsk region. The hero was forever 29 years old. Dmytro was born in the city of Netishyn, Khmelnytskyi region. He stu at the Netishyn Professional Lyceum, where he mastered the profession of an electric welder. He was fond of boxing. The man did not work by profession, as immediately after graduation in 2011 he went to serve under a contract in the ranks of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 1st Separate Battalion of Marines. At that time, he was still based in the city of Feodosia in Crimea. After the occupation by the Russians, he left Crimea and together with the unit continued his service in the city of Mykolaiv. Later, he transferred to the 203rd Training Center for Non-Commissioned Officers, where he took up the position of instructor, and in August 2021 he again signed a contract with the 1st OMBP, which was already part of the 36th OBrMP. At the time of the full-scale Russian invasion, he held the position of chief sergeant of the company. During his service, the military received many awards and thanks, and posthumously was awarded the medal "For the Defense of Ukraine" and the Order "For Courage" III degree. "We met with the man in Feodosia not long before the occupation of Crimea. After the occupation, he remained faithful to his oath, left with other marines for permanent deployment to Mykolaiv, where we created our wonderful family. Dmytro was almost always at war, he was a great commander, an example for his subordinates. On my pleas to leave military service, the man replied: 'I can't, my guys are there.' The last time the man contacted was on March 6, at that time he was already in Mariupol. I begged him for only one thing: to be careful... My Dmytro is the best husband and father, a wonderful son and brother, a good friend and comrade," said the fallen warrior's wife. The defender is survived by his mother Oksana, sisters Alina and Yana, wife Anastasiia, and daughter Zlata, who is always waiting for her father's return.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
