- 36-year-old soldier Dmytro Kovereh (call sign Tykhy) was killed on March 19, 2023 near the village of Hryanikivka in the Kharkiv region. During the enemy shelling, he covered his comrade with his body, saving his life. Dmytro was born in the village of Shylivtsi, Chernivtsi region. He graduated from the local school. He worked on his own farm. In his free time, he loved fishing and gardening. After marriage, he moved to the village of Hrozyntsi, Chernivtsi region. Together with his wife, he raised a daughter. On February 28, 2022, Dmytro was voluntarily mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He joined the 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Roman the Great. He took the position of a rifleman-sniper and went to the front line. Tykhy took part in the battles for Sievierodonetsk and Lysychansk in the Luhansk region, was in the Donetsk region, and stormed enemy positions. "My father was a true warrior, an example of a real man. Always positive and joyful. He loved us with my mother very much... You lived for 36 years, and this war took your life so early... And it took the best and kindest dad in the world from me... You were awarded by Zelenskyy, journalists are asking to tell about everything you went through. I know you didn't like it and asked not to do it during your lifetime, but I told them. So that everyone knows about our Hero with my mom. We don't need this award, we only need you alive, dad. You always told us: 'Hold on, my girls.' Without you, it's very difficult for my mom and me, but we will do it for you. We love you and hope you're doing well 'there.' The most important thing is that you are safe," wrote the daughter of the fallen warrior, Kateryna. "He was one of those people who cared about the fate of Ukraine. Dima knew how to fight, he knew no fear. I remember his signature phrase: 'No questions.' And it didn't matter how complex the task would be. He bravely took on risky tasks, especially if it was about helping someone, covering or pulling someone out. He loved his family very much, enthusiastically told about the garden, loved his country and gave it the most precious thing. He is one of those guys whose face and voice you will remember for the rest of your life," wrote Tykhy's comrade. Dmytro was buried in the village of Hrozyntsi, Chernivtsi region. At home, his wife Olha and 15-year-old daughter Kateryna were waiting for him.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
