- Major Dmytro Sokorinskyi (call sign Sakram) was killed in action on July 4, 2022, while performing a combat mission near the village of Zvanivka in Donetsk region. In June, the officer turned 27 years old. Dmytro was born and lived in the city of Volodymyr in Volyn region. He graduated from the National Academy of Land Forces named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi in Lviv. He received the qualification of a specialist in military management, an officer of tactical level military management. He was involved in sports. He dreamed of traveling, but did not have time, as he dedicated his life to the war. After graduation, the young officer went to serve in the 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Roman the Great. He went from platoon commander to battalion commander. He fought in the Joint Forces Operation. During his service, he was repeatedly awarded by the command with awards. During the full-scale war, Sakram continued to defend Ukraine from the occupiers together with his comrades. "My beloved was very sincere, humane and infinitely kind. He constantly smiled. In difficult life situations, his smile saved everyone who was nearby. He had no hopeless situations... He always found a way out and made the right decisions, so it was not scary with him. The war is merciless... It took his smile off his face... And then took him away. We were very happy, it's a pity that only for a moment. There were plans to live several lives, and how many unfulfilled common dreams... The greatest joy is our daughter Milanka. Dima was very much waiting for her, but he didn't even have time to rejoice, she was only 8 months old when he . My Dima spent his entire adult life at war, it shaped his personality, hardened his will, and made him who he became. An officer with a capital letter, everyone respected him, his subordinates and commanders listened to his opinion and military intuition. Dima was responsible and fair. The full-scale invasion began for him in Zhytomyr region, where he served. Then - Kyiv region, Mykolaiv region. And until the fatal Bakhmut... I don't know everything, he told a little, said, he would tell everything later, and then he was gone... He was real! I love infinitely. I'm very, very sorry. I believe that we will meet again," said the wife of the fallen warrior Inna. The hero was buried on the Alley of Glory of the Fedorivskyi cemetery in his hometown. At home, Dmytro's parents, sister, wife, and daughter, who was born in 2021, were waiting for him. Posthumously, the officer was awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
