- A 42-year-old lawyer, Dmytro Antonenko (call sign Advokat), was killed in action on June 27, 2022, in battles with Russian occupiers for his native Kharkiv region. The unit he was part of stopped the enemy advance near the village of Dementiivka. The occupiers began an artillery bombardment of the positions of Ukrainian troops. The fighter saved the lives of his comrades, activating the GPS sensor of a drone on a false position and diverting the fire of the artillery onto himself. Dmytro was from the city of Kharkiv. He was responsible and disciplined from childhood, stu diligently. At the end of school, he decided that he wanted to become a lawyer. He entered the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University and worked simultaneously on various jobs to help his parents pay for his education. When he was already working in his dream profession, he constantly helped his parents and younger brother. His career was successful, and later he became one of the partners of the law firm "ACF Partners". From the first day of the full-scale war, Dmytro Antonenko joined the ranks of the National Guard of Ukraine. He fought in the composition of the separate special purpose unit "Omega", holding the position of senior instructor for driving. Together with his brothers in arms, he defended his native Kharkiv region. "Dmytro was a scout, volunteer, patriot. In 2014, he joined the creation of the volunteer front, which provided modern means and things to the security and defense forces. In addition, Dmytro organized the production and modernization of the latest weapons and UAVs, joined the creation of a powerful sniper school in the city of Desna, which significantly increased the level of combat readiness of the AFU," said the National Association of Arbitration Managers of Ukraine. "I really want a citizen of Ukraine - strong, independent, and brave - to be like my colleague Dmytro Antonenko: highly intellectual, exceptionally honest and principled, well-mannered, intelligent, with a sense of humor and boundless faith in Victory. Whose 'home is never on the edge' because the ability to take responsibility is ingrained at the level of DNA itself and is unshakable. Whose interests are always greater than their own, and whose thoughts are deeper than hundreds of books read, because they are supported by real actions and proven not by words, but by deeds. This is reliability to the maximum possible degree, without pathos and exhibitionism. This is strength and power, multiplied by wisdom. With such people, you are always confident, calm, and reliable. It is thanks to such people that we stand heroically: both physically and morally," wrote the colleague of the deceased, Iryna Serbin. The defender was buried in Kharkiv. Dmytro left behind his parents, brother, wife, and daughter. Soldier Dmytro Antonenko was posthumously awarded the Order "For Courage" III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
