Dmytro S. Byts

Dmytro Sviatoslavovych Biets was born on June 21, 2001. In 2020, he graduated from the Chortkiv State Medical College. He was drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine on October 26, 2020. He served under contract, holding the position of a military medic. From the first days of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, he defended his native land from the occupiers. He participated in humanitarian missions, delivered humanitarian aid, and helped evacuate local residents from the areas of hostilities. He died on May 7, 2022, during an air strike in the town of Bilhorivka, Sievierodonetsk district, Luhansk region. He is survived by his parents, two sisters, and a brother. Dmytro was the eldest among the children. He was buried on May 16, 2022, in the village of Sytne, Krupetska rural community, Dubno district, Rivne region.
