Biography
Linskyi Dmytro Serhiyovych was born on January 8, 1995, in the city of Krasnohrad in the Kharkiv region. He stuwas killed at the multifaceted Lyceum No. 4. He was a fan of the football club "Metalist" (Kharkiv). With the onset of revolutionary events in the country, like the vast majority of fans, Dmytro resisted the criminal regime. Seeking freedom for the Ukrainian nation, he joined the "Azov" movement in 2015. Initially, it was the National Corps, and in 2016, he became part of the "Azov" unit. Before joining "Azov," he lived in Kyiv. He was very meticulous about his work, and his comrades could always rely on Dmytro. He received awards from the President of Ukraine for his participation in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO). In addition to training at the training ground, he participated in boxing and football competitions, took diving courses, jumped from helicopters with a parachute, and wanted to compete in sniper shooting contests. He lived in a civil marriage with his beloved and had many plans for the future: to officially marry in the spring of 2022, to buy a house in Mariupol, and to make the non-biological son he had raised since the age of 6 a world boxing champion. He was aware in advance that there would be a full-scale invasion of Ukraine and was constantly preparing for it. During the Russian invasion of Ukraine, he served in the Azov Special Operations Regiment, holding the position of a sniper in the 2nd reconnaissance division of the 1st battalion. He was killed on February 28, 2022, in battles with Russian occupiers during the defense of the city of Mariupol in Donetsk region. Farewell to the hero took place on June 3, 2024, at the crematorium of Baikove Cemetery in Kyiv.Burial place
