Dmytro V. Boichuk (Dykyi)

Dmitro Boychuk (call sign Dykyi) was a combat medic who was killed on July 22, 2023, during an assault in the area of the village of Robotyne, Zaporizhia region. He turned 30 years old in June. Dmitro was born in the village of Topilske, Ivano-Frankivsk region. He studied at the Vovchansk Medical College. He worked abroad. He always had an active pro-Ukrainian and civic position. With the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, he unhesitatingly defended Ukraine from the occupiers. Initially, he served in the ranks of the 115th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, holding the position of sniper-scout of the reconnaissance company. He participated in battles in the Luhansk region, in particular, he defended Rubizhne and Sievierodonetsk. He was wounded, but after treatment, he returned to the front line. Later, he fought for the settlements of Pisky and Vodiane in the Donetsk region. After some time, he was transferred to the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade "Magura". There, he took the position of a combat medic in the reconnaissance platoon of the reconnaissance company. He participated in assaults. Dmitro Boychuk was a symbol of sincere and unbreakable friendship, an example for everyone. He was a scout, sniper-scout, senior sniper-scout, sniper-marksman, assault trooper, combat medic, and volunteer. He always protected his best friend-comrade, and he was killed trying to save his life and the lives of other heroes who were in that battle. He was very modest in peacetime and far from modest on the battlefield. That's how he is remembered by those who were with him. He never asked for help, never complained. His priorities in life were completely different. He is forever 30 years old, forever in the ranks and in memory.
