- 27-year-old master sergeant Dmytro Kliashchornyi (call sign Gnome) was killed on August 2, 2023 while performing his official duties near the village of Blahodatne in the Donetsk region. A Russian air bomb fell near the car in which Dmytro and two of his comrades were traveling. All three was killed on the spot. Dmytro was born in the village of Hlybochok, Ternopil region. In childhood, he moved with his parents to the city of Derazhnia, Khmilnytskyi region. He studied at the Derazhnia Vocational Agricultural Lyceum, then at the Novouskhytskyi College of the Podilskyi State Agrarian and Technical University. He also enrolled in the Faculty of Economics at Ternopil Institute, but did not manage to graduate. Since 2015, he lived in Ivano-Frankivsk. From childhood, he was passionate about photography, drawing, and fishing. In his more mature years, he engaged in football, running, and boxing. He had many awards in martial arts (MMA) and running. Military affairs were the dream of his life. From the beginning of the Revolution of Dignity, he felt that he had to do something for the people and the state, so he went into service: first conscript, then contract. He served in the National Guard of Ukraine. He gained combat experience during the Anti-Terrorist Operation / Joint Forces Operation. During the full-scale war, Dmytro was an officer of the special forces combat group of the 4th separate assault special forces unit of the Special Purpose Center of the National Guard of Ukraine "Omega". Together with his comrades, he always tested himself for strength, willpower and endurance. He participated in the "Race Nation" race (2021), the extreme tourist competition "Volunteer" (2021), and the high-precision shooting competitions (2023). During his service, the soldier received many awards, in particular, he was awarded the "For Participation in the Anti-Terrorist Operation" badge and the Order of Courage of the III degree (posthumously). "Dmytro was very sensitive, kind, cheerful and joyful. Despite all the troubles and stresses that occur during combat operations, he remained an attentive and sensitive man, son and friend. He knew how to have fun in the company, and at work he was distinguished by a cool mind and balance. Comrades said he always made the right decisions in stressful situations. He read a lot and improved his knowledge of military affairs," said the wife of the fallen hero, Marta. The hero was buried in the cemetery in the city of Derazhnia.
