- Junior Sergeant Ihor Stolyaruk (call sign Suddia) was killed in action on August 7, 2022, near the village of Yakovlivka in Donetsk region. While performing a combat mission, he received fatal injuries during an enemy artillery shelling. The defender was 39 years old. Ihor was born and lived in the village of Hirka Polonka, Volyn region. He received secondary education. He worked for himself, was a master of construction work. In his free time, he loved to craft wood. In 2014-2015, as part of the 44th separate artillery brigade, he participated in the ATO. In 2016-2019, he served under contract in the 14th separate mechanized brigade named after Prince Roman the Great. He was the chief sergeant of the platoon. He performed combat missions in the area of the ATO/OOS. From 2020 to 2021, he fought as part of the 128th separate mountain assault brigade. During his service, he was repeatedly awarded by the command with awards, including the medals "Veteran of the War", "For Participation in the Anti-Terrorist Operation", "Participant of the ATO", "For the Defense of the Native State". With the beginning of the full-scale war, he returned to the 14th OMB and continued to defend Ukraine from Russian occupiers. He held the position of commander of a combat vehicle - commander of a department. "My husband was a great patriot of his country. He always fought for justice. From the first days of the war, he went to defend the country. He was very intelligent, brave, strong in spirit. He perfectly stuwas killed in action all types of weapons. He knew at what speed this or that bullet flies. He could determine the coordinates. He knew how to provide first aid. He knew all the laws of war. He was a true warrior who knew everything about war and life in field conditions. He passed on his knowledge to many guys, saved many lives. He always took pride in the fact that he kept all the guys in full and they returned home to their families," said Angela Stolyaruk. The warrior was buried in his native village. Ihor left behind his mother, wife, son, relatives, friends, and many comrades. A memorial plaque was opened on the facade of the village school in his honor.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
