Ihor V. Kuznietsov (Kuzniets)

Kuznetsov Ihor Vyacheslavovych was born in the village of Pokrovske, Vradiivskyi district, Mykolaiv region. He graduated from the Mykolaiv National Agrarian University with a degree in "Technology of livestock production". However, he did not work in his specialty. During the Russian-Ukrainian war in 2015, Ihor decided to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He took part in combat operations in the area of the ATO / JFO near the city of Shchastia, Luhansk region. In 2017, he decided to fully devote himself to military affairs and entered the Higher Officers' School in Mykolaiv. In his free time, he read a lot. He was fascinated by the history of Ukraine. In 2019, he signed a contract for military service in the 80th separate air assault brigade. Together with his comrades-in-arms, the young officer carried out combat missions in the Donbas, on the territory of the JFO. With the start of the full-scale war, Ihor Kuznetsov continued to defend Ukraine from the invaders. After heavy fighting for the city of Izyum in the Kharkiv region, he was promoted to the rank of senior lieutenant. He died heroically on December 5, 2022, during the performance of a combat mission near the village of Terni, Donetsk region. The officer was buried in his native village.
