He was a paramedic on the "ambulance" and a rescue fighter in the Azov battalion. He married in 2017 and lived with his wife in Kyiv. That same year, he obtained a higher education at the Faculty of History of the Drohobych Pedagogical University. From childhood, he was passionate about football and wrote poetry. On the first day of the full-scale Russian invasion, February 24, 2022, Ihor took his wife to her parents in the Lviv region. He returned to the capital himself. He joined the ranks of the Territorial Defense Forces and stood to defend Kyiv. From April 2022, he served in the ranks of the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade, holding the position of paramedic, and took part in the defense of Odesa, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions. In his last Facebook post the day before his death, Ihor wrote: "Knee-deep snow. Evacuation in such conditions is an extremely difficult task. But we are doing our job. I'm doing well. Hug your loved ones, donate to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, read books." "Ihor was an extraordinary person and a great patriot of his country. Talented, educated, fair and incredibly kind. He was more to me than a husband and a lover, he was my only support and pillar, the best friend. We never quarreled, loved to travel and explore the world. This war took the best man in the world, my beloved and the only son of his parents. Ihor was considered missing for almost 2 months. After my husband's body was found, my life stopped. The father's heart could not withstand the loss, and soon he followed his son. Ihor's mother was left without a husband and her only son," said the fallen warrior's wife Marina. The hero was buried at the Forest Cemetery in Kyiv. Ihor is survived by his mother, wife, relatives, friends and comrades.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
