Ivan I. Buryk (Ivanych)

Soldier Ivan Buryk (call sign Ivanich) was killed on December 10, 2022 in a hospital in Dnipro. On December 3, in a battle near the settlement of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, the fighter received severe injuries. For a week, the doctors fought for his life, but the warrior was killed without regaining consciousness. He was 24 years old. Ivan was from the village of Sulymivka in the Kyiv region. He graduated from the Sulymivka secondary school. He was an employee of the public utilities company "Komunalnyk". In his free time, he loved to fish, walk in the park, and repair equipment. On the first day of the full-scale invasion, on February 24, 2022, the man without hesitation stood up to defend his native country from the invaders. He joined the ranks of the 41st separate rifle battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He took the position of a grenade launcher. "My husband combined the best traits: courageous and patient, strong and gentle, stubborn but fair, so beloved and so loving... 'Who, if not me?' - I often heard these words... With these same words, he went to the military enlistment office. That's all about him... He wanted his children and grandchildren to be proud of him. If only he could live. Now he is forever 24," said the widow of the fallen Lyudmyla. The warrior was buried in his native village. At home, Ivan was awaited by his wife and daughter.
