- Soldier Maksym Polischuk (call sign Boroda) was killed on August 12, 2022, in a battle with the occupiers in the area of the village of Ivanovka, Donetsk region. An enemy shell hit the trench where the defender was. The warrior was 38 years old forever. Maksym was born in the village of Chekhovka, Kherson region. After finishing school, he went to work - he had to help his parents, as they were raising six more children. He worked in construction in various cities of Ukraine. Eventually, he settled in Dnipropetrovsk region, in the village of Ilarionove. He built a house with his own hands, where he lived with his family. When the full-scale war began, Maksym first joined the local territorial defense. Then he became a serviceman of the 54th separate mechanized brigade named after Hetman Ivan Mazepa. He took the position of a shooter - assistant grenadier. Together with his comrades, he defended Donbass from the occupiers. "Maks came to our family when I already had a daughter and a son. We had another son, Timur, who is now 11 years old. He managed to give his daughter away and still pamper his grandson. Maks is a young grandfather. He was the best husband, father, and grandfather in the world. We have a big village, and everyone knew him. Very kind and helpful. At the beginning of the war, he went to the military commissariat, but they didn't take him because he hadn't served. Then he went to the territorial defense, and a month later - again to the military commissariat. When they finally took him, he was so happy. Even at zero position, with a trembling voice, he said: "My dear, you'll see, everything will be Ukraine," - his wife Natalia said. The defender was buried in the village of Ilarionove, Dnipropetrovsk region. Maksym left behind a wife and children.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
