Maksym P. Khmeliar

Maxym Petrovych Khmelar was born in 1983 in the village of Hulivka, Kovel district, Volyn region. After completing his education at the general school in his native village, he lived in the neighboring village of Zayachivka. He worked in the Povorske Forestry of the Kovel SLET "Tur". He was called up to the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the first days of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. He died on March 7, 2022, near the village of Dmytrivka, Bucha district, Kyiv region. Maxym Khmelar was wounded in both legs. He was considered missing and was being searched for, and only after a month was his death confirmed. He was buried in his native village of Hulivka, Povorska rural community, Volyn region.
