- Maksym Koniakhin was killed on November 17, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission near the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. The warrior was 43 years old. Maksym was born in the city of Severodonetsk, Luhansk region. In 1996, he graduated from vocational school No. 11 in the city of Rubizhne and lived there ever since. He did not work in his profession, as he was more interested in blacksmithing. He engaged in artistic forged products, forging elements, and forged furniture. He enthusiastically searched for new ideas for his work and dreamed of developing and improving his skills and abilities. During the full-scale Russian invasion, Maksym evacuated his family and returned to his native lands to defend them from the enemy's offensive. He held the position of driver-mechanic in the ranks of the 58th separate motorized infantry brigade named after Hetman Ivan Vyhovsky. "Maksym was a very kind and fair person, he did not like lies and stood for the truth. He adored his daughters, spoiled them very much, and did everything for their well-being. Under enemy shelling, he evacuated us to a safe place, as our house was completely destroyed, and he himself returned closer to home to defend his native land and liberate it from the enemy. For me and the daughters, this is the most terrible grief, life has simply stopped. How to live on - we cannot yet imagine. The daughters miss their father very much, remember him, watch photos and videos," said Tetiana Koniakhina. The defender was buried in the Alley of Glory of the Heroes of the Baranov cemetery in the city of Sumy. Maksym is survived by his wife Tetiana, with whom he lived 17 happy years, and two daughters, Ksyusha and Vika, who were 10 and 14 years old at the time of his death.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
