- Born on May 19, 1976, in the city of Lviv. In the winter of 2013-2014, he was at Maidan Nezalezhnosti in Kyiv, where he was an active participant in the Revolution of Dignity. Member of the public organization "Slaves Are Not Allowed to Paradise." On January 15, 2015, he voluntarily joined the 1st Separate Medical Company named after Pirogov of the Northern Territorial Kyiv Command of the National Guard of Ukraine (military unit 3001, city of Kyiv). At his own expense, Maksym Ovcharuk purchased and donated 2 vehicles to the 1st Separate Medical Company named after Pirogov of the National Guard of Ukraine. From the end of January 2015, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. Pseudonym "Tarpan." On February 9, 2015, a medical team from the Separate Medical Company of the National Guard of Ukraine, consisting of a medical armored vehicle and a medical car, left the city of Artemivsk (now Bakhmut) in the Donetsk region towards the city of Debaltseve in the Donetsk region, to meet a medical crew of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (Anatoliy Sulima, Mykhailo Balyuk, and paramedic of the National Guard of Ukraine Serhiy Katsabin), with whom communication was lost. Around 6:30 PM near the village of Lohvynove in the Artemivsk (now Bakhmut) district of the Donetsk region, the medical vehicle, in which Dmytro Lahunov and Vasyl Zadorozhny were, hit a mine, after which the medical team came under fire from a reconnaissance and sabotage group of Russian-terrorist formations. During the battle, Vasyl Zadorozhny, Dmytro Lahunov, Taras Konchevych, and Maksym Ovcharuk were killed, who was considered missing in action from that moment. Only 1.5 months after the battle, Maksym Ovcharuk's body was identified through DNA testing. On March 26, 2015, he was buried in the field of Honorary Burials No. 76 at the Lychakiv Cemetery in the city of Lviv.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
