- 22-year-old soldier Mykola Klontsak (call sign Svat) was killed on March 11, 2023 in battle with the occupiers near the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. Mykola was born in the city of Chervonohrad, Lviv region. From childhood he was engaged in volleyball, had many gold medals for successful tournaments. He graduated from the road-mechanical department of the automotive and road college. Then he entered the Lviv National Agrarian University. He loved to shoot videos. During the full-scale war, Mykola became a warrior of the 53rd separate rifle battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of a rifleman-medic. As part of his unit, he honorably and courageously carried out combat missions until his last breath. "Mykola had the biggest heart on this earth. Cheerful, smiling. He had a lot of friends who loved and respected him. He was the soul of the company, a joker who always entertained at all the holidays. He was the sunny light of this world. Kind, sincere, one of the best. He is the one of whom they say: there are no more like him. Our spring has ended, without even coming. Unforgettable laughter and charisma. A brother who always cared for us, loved and protected. Our dear heart. Mykola really wanted to live, had many plans for the future. He dreamed of a free Ukraine and promised to return home for sure. You forever remained to hold the sky over Bakhmut," wrote the sisters of the fallen Iryna and Anna. "My son, my blood. It's hard to live without you. When on February 25 he went to defend Ukraine, I asked: 'Mykola, you are so young, why do you need to go there?' And in response I heard: 'Who, if not me?' He always supported me morally and financially. He has been working since he was 14 years old. He grew up without a father, his father was killed when Mykola was 11 years old. Mykola grew up independent, confident, a cheerful boy. I always knew I could count on him. Now he is our Angel. Our Hero. My son, rest in peace with God!" - the fighter's mother said. "The soul of the company, a sincere and kind person. You are our friend who will remain in our memory forever! You were a true comrade for us! So real, courageous, the best and very kind. We will never forget. Heroes never die!" - added friends-brothers in arms from "Harmony". The young defender was buried in the Alley of Glory of the Bendiuzky cemetery in his hometown. Mykola is survived by his mother, sisters, girlfriend and friends.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
