Biography
Ozеrov Mykola Volodymyrovych (callsign Krym) was born on November 24, 1977, in the city of Henichesk, Kherson region. After graduating from school in his hometown, he entered the Kyiv University of Civil Aviation, Faculty of "Operation of Aviation Ground Equipment" and obtained the qualification of mechanical engineer. In 2000, after graduating from the university, he was sent for military service to military unit A 2847 in the city of Terebovlia, where he held the position of head of the fuel service. Later, the unit was disbanded, and from 2004, Mykola Ozеrov continued his service in the city of Stryi. In 2013, with the rank of major, he took the position of deputy commander for the rear, and later received the next rank of lieutenant colonel. In 2014-2015, he participated in the battles for the Donetsk airport as part of the Air Force combined unit "Wild Duck", holding the position of deputy for rear support, but despite this, he took part in close combat for the Donetsk airport, and was therefore included in the list of steel "cyborgs". Also, in 2016-2020, he participated in the ATO / JFO in the Donetsk region as part of the 223rd anti-aircraft missile Terebovlia regiment. He was awarded state awards. In 2020, he was discharged into the reserve with the rank of lieutenant colonel. From the first days of the full-scale invasion, he returned from abroad and voluntarily joined the ranks of the Stryi Territorial Defense Forces. He took the position of commander of the fire support company. Together with his comrades-in-arms, he took part in battles in the Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv and Donetsk regions. Since March 2022, he has been performing assault and reconnaissance operations in the unit's area of responsibility. During the assault on the village of Yampil in the Donetsk region, he personally commanded the units and was in the front ranks of the attack. He was killed on September 21, 2022, by a sniper's bullet during the liberation of the village of Yampil in the Donetsk region. He was buried in the Alley of Glory of the Stryi cemetery. He is survived by his parents, wife, daughter, son and granddaughter.Burial place
