Oleh A. Kysil (Domovoi)

Junior Sergeant Oleg Kysil (call sign Domovyi) was killed on July 30, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission in the village of Staromaiorske in the Donetsk region. The warrior was forever 43 years old. Oleg was from the Chernihiv region. He studied at the Kulikivske Vocational and Technical School No. 30, where he obtained the profession of an electric welder. In civilian life, he worked as a security guard at the "GEON RIVER" company. He was involved in sports. During the war in eastern Ukraine, he was mobilized. He served in the 95th Airmobile Brigade. Near Donetsk, he was seriously wounded. He was disabled, but this did not stop him from joining the 1st Separate Siverska Tank Brigade at the beginning of the full-scale invasion to defend Ukraine again. He held the position of squad commander in military unit A1815. He was awarded the President's Distinction "For Participation in the Anti-Terrorist Operation", the medals "For the Defense of the Homeland" and "Defender of the Fatherland", the signs of public honor "Blood for Ukraine" and "For Courage and Bravery", as well as the badges "Golden Cross" and "No One But Us". "My brother was fair, brave, courageous, and always fulfilled his tasks. He dreamed of starting a family and loved children very much, and they loved him. Olezhka was the best brother, a patriot of his Motherland, for which he gave the most precious thing - his life," said Tamara Shevchenko. Oleg was buried in his native village of Vershinova Muraviyka, where he was born and lived. The warrior is survived by his parents and two sisters.
