Order "For Courage" 3rd Class

Biography
He lived on Bazhana Avenue in the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv. Until the 9th grade, he studied at Kyiv School No. 255. Then he attended Vocational School No. 16, which he graduated from in 1996, obtaining the profession of a carpenter-machine operator. He served his mandatory military service in Pryluky, Chernihiv region. He served in the Air Force from June 1996 to October 1997. He was involved in parachute packing. He received the rank of junior sergeant. After the army, he worked at the Kyiv chipboard factory "Avers" and at the Kyiv woodworking plant "L-Master" as a carpenter-machine operator. Before the war, he worked at the chipboard company "Kronos-Ukraine." He was distinguished by a keen sense of justice. He was an active participant in the Maidan protests. His wife says that she did not immediately share Oleg's enthusiasm, but he was able to convey his mood to his loved ones. He conducted photo broadcasts from the Maidan on Facebook. He was known by the nicknames Wild and Vredny. But he was not evil; he was kind and self-ironic. Perhaps a bit cheeky. He was a fan of the football club "Dynamo," just like Dima Borovik from the 2nd security company, who died that same night in Chervonyi Yar. He last called home on August 19 to his wife, Tatyana. In the evening of August 21, he sent Tania a text message saying that everything was fine. He died while on night duty guarding a tank position, as a result of being hit almost at his feet by an enemy tank shell. He was wounded at the very beginning of the shelling, so he did not have time to take cover. He was severely wounded in the neck and lungs and suffered significant blood loss. He held on for another 1.5 hours. He died on the operating table in the hospital in the city of Shchastia. Two tankers from the 24th brigade were also wounded at that time.Military service
