Biography
Oleg Ivanovich Marinchenko was born on June 25, 1965 in Kyiv. He studied at Kyiv School No. 196. He was involved in motocross. To protect his younger brother, he began to practice hand-to-hand combat and became a master of sports in combat sambo. He served in a special unit on the territory of Russia. After the army, he worked as an instructor at a parachute school. He made 256 jumps and was a candidate for the title of master of parachute sports. He worked as a bodyguard, and in 2000 his team took second place in all-Ukrainian bodyguard competitions. Then he worked as an instructor in extreme car control at the Chaika racetrack. Later, he became a priest, a senior deacon, an evangelical Christian-Baptist. He was an active participant in the Revolution of Dignity. He has been at the front since 2014. During the battles for the Donetsk airport, he did not take up arms. He was a combat medic and chaplain of the 3rd company of the 206th separate battalion of the 112th separate brigade of the territorial defense of Kyiv. On February 25, 2022, he was seriously wounded and had the opportunity to be demobilized, but two months later he returned to his unit. He died on August 18, 2022 as a result of a direct hit of a Russian mine into the dugout where he was providing emergency assistance to his wounded comrades-in-arms, in the Kherson region. With his body, Oleg Marinchenko covered his comrades-in-arms, saving the lives of four servicemen. He was buried on August 21, 2022. He is survived by his wife, daughter and two granddaughters.Burial place
