- Born on April 2, 1970, in the city of Kremenchuk, Poltava region. Graduated from the 8th grade of secondary school No. 27 in Kremenchuk, then from vocational technical school No. 20 in Kremenchuk (now Kremenchuk Professional Lyceum named after A.S. Makarenko) with a specialty in "electric gas welding." From 1988 to 1990, he served in the 79th border detachment of the Western Border District of the Border Troops of the State Security Committee of the USSR (military unit 2161, Simferopol, Crimea region (now Autonomous Republic of Crimea)). After the army, he graduated from Kharkiv State Polytechnic University (now National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute") with a specialty in "Electrical Appliances." Since 1996, he worked in managerial positions at enterprises in Kremenchuk: as a technology engineer in the technical department of "Tekhtransmash," chief energy engineer of the collective enterprise "Aelita," at the silicate brick factory, head of the electrical shop of the Municipal Enterprise "Kremenchukvodokanal," and chief energy engineer of the Public Joint Stock Company "Kremenchukmyaso" (since October 2008). On March 18, 2015, he was mobilized as a volunteer into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He underwent military retraining at the 169th Training Center of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0665, the urban-type settlement of Desna, Kozelets district, Chernihiv region). He served as the commander of the reconnaissance platoon of the reconnaissance company of the 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit field post V2970, Artemivsk (since 2016 - Bakhmut), Donetsk region). From spring to summer 2015, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. Call sign "Farro." On September 10, 2015, at a checkpoint near the village of Troitske in the Popasna district of Luhansk region, a group of servicemen, including soldier Kuksa, triggered a "tripwire" with an OZM-72 mine set by terrorists. As a result of the explosion, soldier Yosyp Krutyak was killed, and five other servicemen were injured, including Oleg Kuksa. The seriously wounded soldier Kuksa was taken to a hospital in Artemivsk (since 2016 - Bakhmut), Donetsk region, where he died from his injuries. On September 15, 2015, he was buried in the Sector of Fallen Heroes of the Anti-Terrorist Operation at the Svyshtov Cemetery in Kremenchuk.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
