In 1996, he graduated from Izium Vocational School No. 61 and obtained the profession of tractor driver-mechanic. In 1996-1998, he served in the tank troops. After the army, he became a worker in the forestry industry in the National Park "Svyati Hory" in Sviatohirsk, and then in the Izium animal farm. Since 2005, he has been a driver for an entrepreneur. For his service, the warrior was awarded the medal "Defender of Ukraine", which was presented to his wife after his death. "I don't know how to describe him in two words... He was the best brother in the universe! He was always the best son and father, caring for his family and friends, of whom he had many. This is a person, as his commander wrote, with a capital letter, reliable and steadfast. He was sincere, open, always ready to help everyone, a person-holiday. He could always find a common language with anyone. Sasha was real. The death of my brother is a shock and a great sorrow in our family. We still don't believe he's gone. I'm very proud that he was my brother, and for my mother - such a son," says his sister Natalia Honcharenko about the fallen. Oleksandr was buried in his hometown, on the Alley of Glory, next to his nephew Vladyslav Honcharenko, who also was killedin the war in 2022.
