- Sergeant Oleksandr Dykovskyi (call sign Dykyi) was killed on February 12, 2024, while performing a combat mission near the city of Avdiivka in Donetsk region. The soldier was 27 years old. Oleksandr was from the village of Sorochyne in Zaporizhia region. He studied at a technical school, where he obtained the qualifications of painter, plasterer, and tiler. In civilian life, he worked as a laborer in construction and then went on military service. He adored football and loved working with his hands. He lived in the settlement of Kushuhum in Zaporizhia region. In 2019, he signed a contract with the 55th Separate Artillery Brigade "Zaporizhska Sich". With the start of the full-scale war, he was transferred to the 53rd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Volodymyr Monomakh. He was a member of the crew of the 1st motorized infantry unit. He was awarded the medal "Unbreakable Heroes of the Russian-Ukrainian War". "He was the best person, devoted to his oath and Ukraine until his last breath. Kind, sensitive, a good friend, the life of the party. And most importantly, he was the best husband in the world. He loved his family very much and did everything for them," said his wife Anna. The defender was buried in the Alley of Glory in the settlement of Kushuhum. Oleksandr is survived by his wife, mother-in-law, and other relatives.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
