- Born on September 2, 1993, in the village of Ust-Putila, Putyla district, Chernivtsi region. In 2009, he graduated from the 9th grade of the general education school in the village of Ust-Putila, Putyla district, then from the general education school in the village of Dykhtynets, Putyla district, and later from the Chernivtsi Professional Construction Lyceum, obtaining the profession of "Tiler, Plasterer." In 2012-2013, he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a conscript. From January 2014, he served under contract in the 87th Separate Airborne Battalion of the 80th Separate Airborne Brigade of the Red Banner Order of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (military unit A2582, Chernivtsi city). From the spring of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On July 20, 2014, Sergeant Chygryn was killed in battle during a breakthrough of the enemy encirclement around the International Airport "Luhansk" near the urban-type settlement of Heorhiivka, Luhansk region. Soldier Halai was also killed in this battle. On July 25, 2014, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Ust-Putila, Putyla district. In the village of Ust-Putila, Putyla district, a memorial plaque was installed on the facade of the general education school (Centralna Street, 18), where Oleksandr Chygryn studied.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
