- Soldier Oleksandr Kyselytsia (call sign Ivanovych) was killed on July 17, 2022, while performing a combat mission near the village of Verkhnokamianske in Donetsk region. The warrior was 37 years old. Oleksandr was born and lived in the city of Chernivtsi. He attended elementary school there and graduated from it in the village of Kostyntsi. He then entered a construction vocational school and worked in his specialty. He spent his free time with his family, enjoyed fishing, and picking mushrooms. In 2005, the man met his future wife Lyudmyla. A year later, on his birthday, September 8, the couple got married. Oleksandr said he made himself a gift for life. In 2007, the couple had a daughter, Kateryna, and eight years later, a son, Illia. The family dreamed above all of quiet family happiness and comfort, planning for the future. However, on February 24, 2022, everything was destroyed. On the second day of the full-scale war, Oleksandr joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine to protect his family and his homeland. He fought in the ranks of the 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade and held the position of a shooter-paramedic. "Sashko was a very good, sincere, brave, courageous person and a true patriot. For me, he was a wonderful, beloved husband, a strong support, the meaning of my life... For the children, he was the best and most caring dad. For his mother, a good son. In the evening of February 24, Sashko said he was going for a walk. About an hour later, a message came — there was a photo of a summons. I told him and the kids: 'Don't go, wait. The war will come to us, and you will go.' He replied that it needed to be stopped there so that it wouldn't come to us. 'Every true man should do this — stand up to defend his state and family. I will definitely return; everything will be fine. I love you'... No matter how bad he felt, he never complained. He acted like a true patriot, stood up to defend Ukraine and all of us, but gave the most precious thing — his life... Forever in my heart..." — said the wife of the fallen. The defender was buried in the Alley of Glory in his hometown. His mother, two brothers, wife, daughter, and son did not wait for their warrior to return from the war. Posthumously, Oleksandr Kyselytsia was awarded the medal "For the Glory of Chernivtsi."Memory Platform 'Memorial'
