Oleksandr L. Halushchynskyi

Born on January 9, 1973, in the village of Berizky, Kryvoozersky District, Mykolaiv Oblast. Graduated from the secondary school in the village of Berizky. Worked as a stoker at the general education school in the village of Berizky. In the winter of 2013-2014, he was at Maidan Nezalezhnosti in Kyiv, where he was an active participant in the Revolution of Dignity. He belonged to the 4th "Cossack Hundred" of the Maidan Self-Defense. On August 1, 2014, he was mobilized as a volunteer into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a gunner of the 1st mechanized squad of the 1st mechanized platoon of the 4th mechanized company of the 2nd mechanized battalion of the 28th separate guards mechanized brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0666 (field post V0095), the urban-type settlement of Chornomorske, Kominternivskyi District (since 2016 - Lymanskyi District) of Odesa Oblast). He participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On June 3, 2015, Senior Soldier Halushchynskyi was killed by a sniper's bullet during a battle while repelling an attack by Russian armed formations on the city of Marinka in Donetsk Oblast. Along with him, Junior Sergeant Vasyl Pysarenko and Senior Sergeant Vasyl Pykhtiev were killed. On June 8, 2015, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Berizky, Kryvoozersky District, Mykolaiv Oblast.
