Biography
Olexandr Mykolayovych Labunskyi was born on June 13, 1982, in the city of Sarny, Rivne region. He worked in the Sarny fire and rescue unit. After the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, since 2019, he served in the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade: initially near the city of Bucha, then near the city of Vyshhorod in the Kyiv region. Senior soldier Labunskyi served as the commander of the automotive section of the rocket artillery battery. With Olexandr Labunskyi's direct involvement, the brigade's rocket battery carried out over 30 combat missions in Kyiv, resulting in the destruction of enemy columns, concentrations of personnel, and equipment. He was killed on March 14, 2022, around 14:00 as a result of shelling from enemy BM-21 Grad systems in the Kyiv region. He was buried on March 19, 2022, in the city of Sarny. Olexandr Labunskyi is survived by his parents, a sister, two sons, and a daughter. For his courage and heroism displayed in the defense of Ukraine's state sovereignty and territorial integrity, and for his loyalty to the military oath, Olexandr Mykolayovych Labunskyi was posthumously awarded the title of "Hero of Ukraine" with the Order of the Golden Star.Burial place
