- Sergeant Oleksandr Lavreniuk (call sign Casanova) was killed on February 17, 2024 near the village of Tyahynka in the Kherson region. During a hostile drone attack, the warrior sustained shrapnel wounds. His beloved girlfriend Violetta, a paramedic, tried to resuscitate him on the way to the hospital, but unfortunately the injuries were incompatible with life. The warrior was 29 years old. Oleksandr was born in the village of Olhopil, Vinnytsia region. After school, he obtained secondary specialized education at Vocational School No. 35 in the city. He then continued his studies in the correspondence form at the National University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute", studying at the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering. He loved repairing cars, did apartment renovations, and was an excellent craftsman and electrician. He took on any job and performed it impeccably. He was passionate about sports. After the start of the full-scale invasion, he joined the ranks of the 106th Separate Brigade of Territorial Defense. He held the position of driver of the AGS grenade launcher section of the fire support platoon. He became the best boat driver, quickly and professionally carrying out combat missions on the Dnipro River. For his service, the defender received a number of awards, including the President of Ukraine's "For the Defense of Ukraine" award and the Order of Courage of the III degree (posthumously). "Together with Oleksandr, I participated in the evacuation of the wounded. He was incredibly dedicated to his work. Despite the danger and constant enemy attacks, risking his own life, he saved more than 100 soldiers, evacuating many fallen comrades from the left bank of the Dnipro (Krynky, Kozachi Laheri). He was an extraordinarily kind person with a huge heart, an incredibly loyal friend. The best man in my life. My heavenly Angel," said the warrior's beloved girlfriend Violetta. The defender was buried in his native village of Olhopil. Oleksandr is survived by his parents, brother, aunt, fiancée and loyal friends.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
