Oleg and Andriy Martynov, Alexander's brothers, who survived the shot-up bus: "We were heading for an exchange near Maryinka. We were carrying four separatists. We were resting, dozing off — when suddenly there was a burst of gunfire, an order to lie down, and we all fell. When we came to, we saw the DNR flag and journalists — either from 'Life News' or other Russian outlets. But it was literally right away. Already in captivity, when we were in the basement, they came with a camera and interviewed us, asking: 'Why did you come to our land?'. We replied that we didn't want such a situation in Dnipropetrovsk. Then the Russians came to us and said: 'Did you think you wouldn't be tracked? When the OSCE vehicle passed by, it was accompanied by traffic police who reported you.' The captives died. After shooting up the bus with the 'pravoseks', the DNR fighters killed three of their own, one was saved."
