Oleksandr S. Parfenov (Flesh)

Senior rifleman Oleksandr Parfenov (call sign Flash) was killed on June 16, 2023 near the village of Ivanivske in the Donetsk region. During the performance of a combat mission, he came under artillery fire. The warrior was 27 years old forever. Oleksandr was from the Vinnytsia region. In childhood, he moved with his mother and sister to the village of Skazyntsi, where he finished school. In 2011, he entered the Mohyliv-Podilskyi Technological and Economic College, majoring in "Food Technology". He was a charismatic young man, so he often hosted concerts held at the college. In his second year, he met his future wife Olena. After graduating in 2015, the couple moved to Vinnytsia. There, Oleksandr got a job in a pizzeria. He had work experience in Kyiv, Odesa and Koblevo. He also worked in Poland and the Czech Republic. His last job was at the children's entertainment center "Country of Dreams" in Vinnytsia. "Sashko and his wife Olena worked with us as cooks. Sasha was a pizza chef, Olena was a sushi chef. He made the most delicious pizza, and it was a pleasure to work with him. And how the children loved Sashka! Culinary master classes with his participation became incredibly popular. He willingly shared his experience and taught other cooks. He was sincere, cheerful, charismatic, hardworking, fair, decisive, confident. But the cursed war takes the best," said the head of the deceased. During the full-scale war, on March 11, 2023, Oleksandr joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 80th separate air assault brigade. "My beloved husband was a fan of Marvel, and for me he became a superhero in real life. I was lucky to meet him, with him I was happy and loved. It was supposed to be 11 years that we were together, and now I have to gather the strength to live for two. Sadness and pain inside. Half of me is gone, a huge wound remains until the end of my life. I love you, my heart," wrote his wife. "We gave him the call sign Flash, because he always quickly completed all tasks. He is a man with a capital letter, he helped his comrades-in-arms even when he himself did not have enough strength, he never left anyone in trouble. He was positive, energetic, kind, honest, courageous and heroic. Eternal memory to the hero. We will not forget," wrote his comrades-in-arms. Oleksandr was buried in the village of Skazyntsi in the Vinnytsia region. At home, his wife, relatives, friends and colleagues were waiting for him.
