Biography
Alimov Oleksandr Volodymyrovych was born on October 18, 1984, in Lviv. He studied at Lviv Secondary School No. 4. After graduating from school, he entered the Lviv Polytechnic National University, where in 2009 he obtained the specialty of a mechanical engineer. In 2007, he began working as a consultant at PJSC "Kyivstar". In 2013, he became a leading engineer in the IT department of the company "First Private Brewery". He got married in May 2016. That same year, he enrolled in the "IT Step Academy", where, after completing professional training, he began working in the IT field. From 2018 to 2021, he worked at the company "LaSoft", and since 2021 he has been working at the company "EPAM Systems". Oleksandr had many hobbies, loved to travel, read, and visited many countries around the world. His passions were hiking and biking. He was involved in various sports: running, football, basketball, and squash. He repeatedly participated in sports competitions. He loved animals and often took care of them. With the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, he voluntarily went to defend his native land. He served in the 125th Separate Brigade of the Territorial Defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and was promoted to the rank of junior sergeant. On December 5, 2022, Junior Sergeant Oleksandr Alimov was appointed commander of a rapid response group that went out with additional ammunition to cover the position where the enemy infantry was advancing. His group engaged the enemy who had infiltrated the rear of the position. During the clash, one of the group members was wounded. Oleksandr made the decision to move the wounded comrade to a safe place, after which he returned to the main group and continued the firefight. He was killed in action as a result of a gunshot wound to the temple. He was buried in the Field of Honorary Burials of the Lychakiv Cemetery in Lviv. The deceased is survived by his father, wife, and brother.Burial place
