- 27-year-old junior sergeant Oleksandr Bidiuk (call sign Sanya) fought his last battle on July 28, 2022 near the village of Podolіvka in the Kharkiv region. While performing his duties, he sustained a fatal gunshot wound. Oleksandr was a native of the village of Svystunіvka in the Luhansk region. He studied there at school. He then enrolled at the Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University, majoring in "Radio Electronics", but after a year he left his studies, realizing it was not his calling. In April 2013, he was drafted into the army. He served for 2 years and 4 months in the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade in Bila Tserkva. After his service, he signed a contract for military service, wanting to defend his Homeland. He participated in the ATO in the Donetsk region. He was wounded near Savur-Mohyla. For his bravery, he was awarded the badge "Excellent Soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine". In the battles for the industrial zone near Dokuchayevsk, he suffered a concussion. He was discharged to the reserve. However, the man could not stay at home for long and signed a new contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At first, he served in the Svatove District Military Commissariat, and on April 1, 2016, he was transferred to the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade. On April 6, 2016, Oleksandr received a certificate of participant in combat operations. During the full-scale Russian invasion, Oleksandr, along with his unit, defended the city of Okhtyrka in the Sumy region, liberated Trostyanets, and fought for the Izyum region. He held the position of commander of the ammunition supply vehicle section of the material support platoon. The defender was buried at the Forest Cemetery in Kyiv. Oleksandr is survived by his wife, son, parents, and brother.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
