- Senior soldier Oleksandr Senievych was killed on March 7, 2022, while defending Kyiv region from Russian occupiers. The fighter sustained fatal injuries in the area of the village of Sloboda-Kukharska. While inside an enemy-damaged BMP, he inflicted artillery fire on the enemy's infantry and equipment. His actions helped his unit retreat. Two months prior, the defender had turned 37 years old. Oleksandr was from the village of Dragovo in the Zakarpattia region. He graduated from school there. In civilian life, he worked abroad for earnings. He was a participant in the Revolution of Dignity. Since 2014, he had been involved in the Russo-Ukrainian war. He fought in the ATO/OOS zone as part of the Azov battalion, and later in the 128th Mountain Assault Brigade. From the first days of the full-scale Russian invasion, he fought against the occupiers, defending Kyiv and the region. Oleksandr was a fighter in the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of deputy commander of the combat vehicle - gunner-operator of the mountain assault unit of the 109th battalion. "He was kind, sincere, always positive, a loving husband, a good father," said the deceased's beloved woman, Oksana. The warrior was buried in his native village. Oleksandr is survived by his mother, children, sister, brother, beloved, and other relatives, friends, and comrades. Posthumously, the hero was awarded the Order of Courage of the 3rd degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
