- Born on January 3, 1988, in the village of Staryi Solotvyn, Berdychiv district, Zhytomyr region. On March 19, 2014, he was called up for military service by the Berdychiv City Combined Military Commissariat of Zhytomyr region as part of partial mobilization into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. From April 3, 2014, he served as a driver in the automotive section of the 1st anti-tank artillery platoon of the 1st anti-tank artillery battery of the anti-tank artillery division of the 26th Separate Artillery Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A3091, Berdychiv, Zhytomyr region). From July 9, 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On August 14, 2014, soldier Sokorchuk was killed as a result of a mortar shelling and the repulsion of a tank attack on the positions of Ukrainian troops in the area of the city of Amvrosiivka, Donetsk region, which were conducted from the territory of the Russian Federation and from the territory controlled by Russian-terrorist groups. Junior Sergeant Dubik was also killed in this battle.
