- Born on July 14, 1983, in the village of Nemyrintsy, Ruzhyn district, Zhytomyr region. In 2000, he graduated from the general education school in the village of Nemyrintsy, Ruzhyn district. He served his mandatory military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On March 17, 2014, he was called up for military service during partial mobilization to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. From April 3, 2014, he served as a number of the 5th service of the 2nd anti-tank artillery platoon of the 1st anti-tank artillery battery of the anti-tank artillery division of the 26th separate artillery brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A3091, Berdychiv, Zhytomyr region). From July 9, 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On August 14, 2014, soldier Dubyk was killed as a result of a mortar shelling and repelling a tank attack on the positions of Ukrainian troops in the area of the city of Amvrosiivka, Donetsk region, which were conducted from the territory of the Russian Federation and from the territory controlled by Russian-terrorist groups. Soldier Sokorchuk was also killed in this battle. On August 20, 2014, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Nemyrintsy, Ruzhyn district, Zhytomyr region. In the village of Nemyrintsy, Ruzhyn district, a memorial plaque was installed on the facade of the general education school (Petra Dubyka Street, 2), where Petro Dubyk studied.
